Oh yea, it’s happening. I can finally announce it! WHAA.
Hey everyone, it has been a while. There were many things going on and some of them were actually really amazing. I am working on my EP right now, and its release will be real soon, so keep your eyes and ears open for that!!! But as you can read from the title, there’s something else going on:
I am going to Italy.
Specifically: to YWAM Trentino, a YWAM base in Northern Italy.
The base is being pioneered by a team from YWAM Amsterdam since the summer of 2018; they have such a beautiful heart for the country, its unity and to bring the love and culture of Jesus and His Kingdom to every corner of the globe. This brings us to Italy.
Well, I was wondering this too. Why not just go back to New Zealand? Why not stay in the Netherlands (especially during a time like this)? I think the answer for both of them is that I don’t feel like that’s the way to go. Honestly, I’ve been in love with Italy as long as I can remember, and I have had a heart for this country since I was little.
Some of my friends even claimed I was some fake Italian living in Holland.
Truth of the matter is, I care for the country a lot. I feel connected to its people, culture, food, language, religion and its history. So much so that going there feels connected to my heart.
It’s an honest to God calling.
And although I really love the Netherlands, I don’t feel as though I should stay as of now. Some people say ‘anyone can go to Italy, why you?’ and my perspective on this is ‘if I don’t go when I am called, then who will?’
The last year has been a rollercoaster for me, and while there have been many things that I had to reconsider, one of the things that felt right was to go back into missions. I love to meet new people, explore cultures and give aid where neccesary, to spread the Gospel everywhere. And while I am reconsidering all the other things, I get to do what I love to do in a proper environment while being on the move.
Yea, this also means that I’ll be trying to record music in Italy. It’ll be awesome.
I will be in missions for the next two years (+/-) and that will be my focus. To save the lost, revive the saved and train them all. If everything checks out, I’ll be leaving in September to join my team for the start of the October DTS. I will aid students in their journey in the same way I did my DTS in New Zealand. This also means going on outreach, getting deep with Jesus and getting taught by different teachers from different countries and cultures. If you have any questions regarding what I’ll be doing specifically or if you are wondering about the different ways to support me / bless me (or my team), don’t be shy to ask. If you want to be a part of my mailinglist, please add yourself to the list to get my monthly newsletters.
Also, don’t be shy to support me financially. I am still in search for monthly supporters as I will be dependent on them for the next following years (I will be doing full time volunteer work). As of now you can give straight to my PayPal through the donation form, and I am working on getting a seperate bankaccount for non-profit work with ANBI status.
Support my missions work
As I work in missions, I am dependent on other people’s donations to do the work that I do. The reason is that I work on a voluntary basis, to support those that don’t have the financial stability themselves to achieve whatever they need to achieve. I believe that as a people and as a church, some are called to financially support people like me, so that I can do the job others aren’t called to do. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions as to where the money will end up!
I believe that we can team up with the Holy Spirit, and that your financial sacrifice towards my work in ministry will bless you too.
Besides that, your finances will also support my works as an independant artist.
Many thanks in advance for your donation!
I love you all, and I hope to see you soon. For the Dutchies: if you want to grab a coffee before I head out, just hit me up. 🙂
